Our experience and comprehensive knowledge has been acutely developed over years of negotiating and restructuring large lease portfolios both as a landlord, in the role of Senior EVP and Chief Operating Officer of Leasing for Simon Property Group and as EVP of Global Corporate Real Estate at The Gap. While at Simon, Mr. Tobin founded and oversaw the Restructuring Group, which handled all of lease workouts and as a result developed a keen understanding of the intention and purpose involved in distressed situations. At Gap, Bruce led the efforts to dramatically restructure and downsize Gap’s portfolio.

Restaurants
As head of Simon’s National Restaurant Group, Mr. Tobin was responsible for creating strategy and implementing Simon’s F&B expanding program. These efforts included, but were not limited to: placement of restaurants, identifying premier operators, dealing with lease economics, and lease restructuring when appropriate.
This experience positions us to consider all factors (including potential government aid and insurance proceeds) in helping restauranteurs through this current economic storm.
